By default, the Text Area is exported as a borderless rectangle. If you add the CARD export option to the $bpBkgOpt, the Text Area acquires all the attributes you set for the PostBody Widget in the Styles Dash—color, opacity, two border settings, and four shadow settings.

This option make a big impact on notes that export with teasers—i.e., the Home page and various Category: ___ pages. By default, teasers export as subsections delineated by horizontal rules. Add the CARD export option, and the teasers become floating cards instead.

The color of a levitating card is determined by the color you assigned in the Styles Dash to the PostBody Widget. You can override this by setting $blogCardColor.
