1.
Make an “agent index”

You are working on a big project. You have container notes with lots of descendants. You have quite a few prototypes working for you. Why not make a live index inside of your containers?

With the new Show Original command, you can use agents as type indices.

  1. Make an agent in a container that collects by prototype but only notes descended from its parent. E.g., all person-notes.
  2. Place this agent at the top of container and toggle its export to OFF (label red) using the ⬍ Export Self stamp.
  3. Sort the notes in the agent appropriately.
  4. Then, whenever you need to find that person (or book, event, etc.) just select it inside your “index agent” and hit ⌘R (Edit > Show Original) to reveal it inside its original context.
