Meditation: Love under will (x2)
TYPE: Self-mastery
PURPOSE: This Audio-visual Meditation Loop fortifies your power of goal achievement and diminishes craving and other pro-survival compulsions.
CONTEXT:
Kirk (the principle of Vipassana) tames Shahna (the robot of biology). The key scenes are combined into a seamless and entertaining meditation on the process.
- Kirk (Vipassana tech) asks Shahna (biology) for its secret. Who is in charge of biological compulsion and what does the controller want? The controllers are here called the Providers. But the automatic pro-survival machinations compressed inside DNA do not want to be discovered. Life does not want to be overruled by intellect and its off-target schemes. Monks do, on occasion, set themselves on fire. So DNA says: No questions! The result is punishment—and, so, DNA zaps Shahna via her dog collar. Kirk screams at DNA and begs it to leave Shahna—or sentience, which is prone to feeling and suffering—alone.
- Kirk then befriends sensitive sentience. The body is puzzled. If the goal is survival, why would a body sacrifice itself to help another? Compassion is anti-survival. Kirk speaks the maxims of the happy social organism—also an organism, but of a higher type. Shahna calls kissing helping, and asks Kirk to please “help” her again.
- The body, now hopeful, tells Kirk that she is afraid—afraid of hope smashed. Kirk kissed her lovingly … and then sucker punches her.
- Vipassana and body battle. Kirk gets the upper hand with a knife, but spares her. Then Shahna gets the upper hand with a halberd, but spares him. Finally, Kirk wins—and announces that all the thralls (biological systems compelling our apparent free agency) surrender.
METHOD: This Audio-visual Meditation Suite has two parts:
- Seduction montage.
- Love under will (loop).
Seduction montage
Focus on Kirk’s use of skillful means to befriend, seduce, dominate, and the liberate the biological robot.
Love under will
Focus on the silence and empty space that persists between iterations.
