intuitive

Adequate-intuitive: This is “the special mode in which the content already fully analyzed is appropriated.” Adding this to the already-existing cluster of serial-analytic knowledge, we enter “a possible double way of appropriating and possessing the adequate, the completely analyzed as such.” [[Double-way = (1) formula and (2) curve.]] Yet this mode of appropriating (like Wilber’s non-dual) was present all along—as our knowledge of every “distinct primitive notion.”

The irreducible simples (when distinct) are already instances of intuitive knowledge: “There is no knowledge of a distinct primitive notion other than intuitive knowledge, while for the most part we have only symbolic knowledge of composite notions” [MFL 63–64].

NOTES

Intuitus presupposes adaequatio—intuition of the whole requires total analysis (Hartman)

Adequate-intuitive knowledge “locks into the distinct totality simultaneously.” It sees the real possibility, the real = substantial ontic relations enabling the thing. It is not the logical-nominal “&” of serial-Humean enumeration, but that occult apperceptive “&” of all the predicates “in” the grammatical subject. This occult “&” receives different treatments:

Real possibility is, of course, act.
